Leading Micro Finance Company Dwadifo Adanfo has entered into mega deal to sponsor the Greater Accra Hockey Association to the tune of GHC 175,000.00 spread over a 5 year period.
Chairperson of the Greater Accra Hockey Association Frank Awuku was full of praise for the Micro Finance Company for doling out such a huge amount of money to support the sport and the development of the game in the region.
He also used the opportunity to appeal to other corporate bodies to come to the aid of the sport to further enhance it and develop talent that would be good enough to compete for the nation at all levels.
“I am humbled by DA’s decision to come to our aid. We only approached them a few months ago and we were honestly not expecting them to respond at this fast pace. It has come very quickly I have to admit and the Hockey fraternity can only be grateful for such support.”
CEO of Dwadifo Adamfo, Charles Amonoo revealed that the company decided to go into this partnership with the GAHA as a way of giving back to the society who have contributed immensely to the growth of his financial outfit.
“For a thriving and very efficient company, we see this venture of sponsoring hockey in the region as a way of giving back to the society and we believe that our association with the sport would go a long way into further enhancing its growth in the region.”
For him, it was their Corporate Social Responsibility as they also consider the option of supporting the sport outside the Greater Accra Region.
The company also donated a saloon car to the Association to help in its efforts in Hockey Development.
