The Electoral Commission (EC) is organizing a study tour at the commission's head office for members of the Regional Inter-Party Advisory Committees (RIPACs).
The tour which is in collaboration with KAB governance consult and the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung is in furtherance of the Commission's objective of building confidence in the integrity of the electoral process.
The tour will seek to provide responses to certain issues raised during the RIPAC meetings and also offer the members the opportunity to learn at first hand all about the operations room, the information technology (IT) department and set up of the commission, a statement by the EC said.
The dates for the study tour for the various regions are as follows:
Greater Accra and Volta Region (Thursday, September 4), Brong Ahafo and Upper West regions (Monday, September 8) and Ashanti and Western regions (Wednesday, September 10).
The rest are Central and Eastern regions (Friday, September 12), and Northern and Upper East regions (Thursday September 18).
The media has however been invited to cover the September 4 and 18 events which is scheduled to come on at 9:00 am
