The ECOWAS Commission has initiated another process aimed at addressing the challenges militating against trade among member states.
A number of initiatives instituted by the commission over the years have not yielded the desired results due to the lack of political will on the part of Heads of State.
To have this anomaly addressed, the Commission in partnership with the World Bank, International Financial Corporation and the European Union is holding some stakeholder discussions in the national capital – Accra to deliberate on solutions for the region.
Speaking with JOY BUSINESS at the Technical Workshop, Director of Commerce Dr. Gbenga Obideyi said the commission is poised to this time around, get its members comply with resolutions signed.
The workshop was funded by the European Union, the World Bank and the International Financial Corporation – IFC
