The assistant coach of the Egyptian National team, Diaa Al Saied, has refuted claims that playmaker Mohamed Abutrika will not feature for the Pharaohs in Tuesday's world cup qualifier against the Black Stars of Ghana.
Reports from Egypt suggest that the Al Ahly superstar would not play in the next match after his retirement decision at the end of the African Champions League.
But Al Saied has quickly denied those claims:"The rumour that Trika will not play the next match is completely not true. He is now in the camp where he joined us on Tuesday [and] has been training with his team mates ever since " Diaa told supersport.com.
"Abu Trika will retire after playing with Al Ahly in the next FIFA Club World Cup next month in Morocco, I talked with him and he told me that," he added.
The 35-year-old midfielder led Al Ahly to win their eighth title in the ACL against the Orlando Pirates when he scored both in South Africa and Egypt.
Egypt will welcome Ghana in the second leg of the World Cup play off on November 19 at the Air Defense Stadium in Cairo.
