EMTECH hosted a highly successful Compliance Mixer last Friday, May 10 at StartOA in Accra, Ghana. The event underscored the company’s commitment to the fintech ecosystem in driving innovation for fintechs and support for regulators to mitigate risks more effectively.
The EMTECH Compliance Mixer also served as a venue for fintech leaders and experts to share their insights and visions with the attendees.
The event featured StacAi CEO Dr. Arnold Kaavarpuo as keynote speaker, Mr. Kwasi Okrah of n.dowuona & company as master of ceremonies, Jumo Ghana CEO Mr. Jeremy Quainoo as moderator, and Sustineri Attorneys managing partner Mr. Richard Nunekpeku and EMTECH founder & CEO Carmelle Cadet both as panelists.
“Today's event was very enlightening in sharing how important compliance is going to be as part of the resilience journey in Fintech. From sandbox to compliance, we're continuing to build for Fintechs to be stronger and for regulators to mitigate risk more effectively.” Carmelle said.
Since its inception, EMTECH has consistently pioneered solutions for both regulators and financial service providers. In April 2022 EMTECH launched its API-first Digital Regulatory Sandbox, a multi-party platform that enables streamlined regulatory reviews and fintech innovation. In the same year, the company announced its collaboration with the Bank of Ghana and the Central Bank of Nigeria. The following year, 2023 saw the launch of the Bank of Ghana eCedi Hackathon with EMTECH as partner. This year through the EMTECH Compliance Mixer, EMTECH is renewing its commitment to building the future of compliance in the fintech and Web3 through its Beyond Suite of solutions, which will launch June to July this year.
Event panelist Mr. Richard Nunekpeku stated “In today's session, we had the opportunity to listen to feedback from fintechs as to why it's been very difficult and challenging for them to comply, and some of the interventions that entities like EMTECH is putting in place to ensure that seamless technology-based solutions are provided for them on their journeys of compliance and how they can integrate those into their operations and become businesses that do not only comply, but are also ready for the future.”
EMTECH has also opened its Compliance solution waitlist & beta program for financial service providers to experience this new future of compliance. The waitlist signup form can be accessed here. Similarly, for those wishing to see what the company is currently building, the Compliance Beta Program signup page is live through this page.
