The Minister for Energy and Green Transition, Dr John Abdulai Jinapor, has met with a delegation from the United States Embassy in Accra to discuss ways of strengthening bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.
According to a post shared on his social media platforms on Tuesday, the delegation was led by the Chargé d’Affaires, Ambassador Rolf Olson.
The engagement focused on consolidating the longstanding partnership between Ghana and the United States, particularly in areas relating to energy development and stability.
Dr Jinapor indicated that discussions centred on identifying practical avenues to deepen collaboration and align shared priorities aimed at promoting sustainable growth.
He noted that energy security remains a critical pillar for economic transformation and national development.
The Minister emphasised the importance of strategic partnerships in achieving Ghana’s energy transition goals, including improving reliability, expanding access and strengthening institutional capacity within the sector.
He expressed optimism that continued dialogue and cooperation with international partners such as the United States would contribute significantly to enhancing energy stability and supporting Ghana’s broader development agenda.
