Enterprise Insurance has denied claims by a transport owner who has alleged that the company has for several years failed to pay a claim in respect of his vehicle.
Alex Kweku Tetteh on Tuesday called on regulators, the National Insurance Commission (NIC) to carry out a massive cleanup exercise in the sector citing his unresolved case with the company.
According to him, his case spans August 24, 2017, when one of his vehicles accidentally got burnt, but all efforts to secure the claims due him from Enterprise Insurance have proved futile.
But Enterprise Insurance said his claims are untrue.
In a rejoinder to the story, the company explained that it entered into settlement negotiation with Mr Tetteh after his vehicle got burnt in 2017.
"...based on the proven value of the vehicle documentation submitted. He, however, refused our offer and proceeded to Court seeking three relief.
"In its judgement in December 11, 2019, the Court refused all of Mr Tetteh's reliefs," Enterprise Insurance said.
