The School of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (SAES) of the Evangelical Presbyterian University College (EPUC) has been adjudged as the best by the Private Universities Students Association of Ghana (PUSAG).
This took place at a recent PUSAG National Excellence Awards held in the latter part of July 2024 at the campus of Zenith University College in Accra.
EPUC's SAES was awarded the best school among all private Universities in Ghana.
EPUC was among the other 56 private universities for the Excellence Awards event.

According to a statement issued by the Students' Representative Council (SRC) General Secretary of the 2023/2024 academic year, Selorm Komla Koffi, the SRC in its quest to get the University recognized nationally and internationally has been demonstrated by the award.
The SRC said it is excited to share with all students that the university's School of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences (SAES), has recently won the ‘Best Agriculture School’ in the just-ended Private Universities Students Association of Ghana Excellence Awards.
It said the award is an acknowledgment of the students and the institution's commitment to advancing agricultural research, education, and sustainability.
The university is dedicated to fostering innovation and collaboration in this field, and this award further solidified the position as a leader in agricultural research and education".
The SAES, over the years, has produced students who are currently managing and supervising reputable farms such as Golden Exotics Limited, Maphlix Trust Ghana Limited, the Ministry of Food Agriculture (MoFA), and some of the biggest Aquaculture establishments in the country.
The SAES has been a beacon of hope for agricultural workers nationwide, offering tailored weekend programmes in agribusiness, crop and soil science, animal science, fisheries, and environmental sciences, as part of efforts to support sustainable and industrial food production to feed the growing global population.
The release from the SRC encourages all students to continue pursuing interests in not only agriculture but other fields too, as there are endless opportunities for growth and discovery.
The E.P. University College in Ho was established in 2007 by the Evangelical Presbyterian Church as the first and premier university in the Volta Region.
