The Deputy Minister for Employment and Social Welfare, Antwi Bosiako Sekyere has tasked the Factory Inspectorate Division of the Ministry to investigate last Friday’s casualty at a soap factory in Tema.
A 20-year-old man with the Delta Agro Limited tried to remove a foreign material from a soap mixture when he was accidentally pulled into the machine.
He reportedly died after the incident.
Managers of the company say the accident was as a result of the refusal of the deceased to obey safety instructions in handling the mixture machine.
The inspectorate team is also investigating activities of factories in Tema.
Mr Bosiako-Sekyere said Friday’s accident came to him as a shock.
