A father and his two children have perished in a fire outbreak at Abuesi in the Shama District.
The 35 year old father, Atta Panyin and his children, two years old, Auntie Araba and one-and a half month old, Maame Ekua died whilst sleeping.
The building they were sleeping in caught fire while they slept at dawn.
According to a GNA report, the father is said to have attempted rescuing his children but died in the process.
The mother of the children, Maame Aisha, survived but sustained serious body burns and was rushed to the Effia-Nkwanta Hospital for treatment.
The cause of fire is not known but there are suspicions it could have been an electrical fault.
