The teacher who was allegedly flogged in public by the Chief of Ejisu-Besease for allegedly smoking indian hemp is calling for police protection.
It follows some attacks on him by a group of people recently.
The 54 year old French teacher, Francis Kattah, says unidentified men tried to ambush him in his house at about 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
He told Nhyira News he has reported the matter to the police, but he still fears for his life.
Kattah was flogged at the palace by the chief who accused him of smoking Indian hemp.
He has denied the charge. The chief is facing prosecution at the courts.
Nhyira FM’s Ohemeng Tawiah has reported that Kattah had been approached on countless occasions by the chief for out of court settlement but has turned down the offers, including monetary compensation.
Kattah fears his life is in danger and has taken precautionary measures.
The court has revoked an earlier bail of a GHS50,000 it granted Nana Acheampong and has issued an arrest warrant for an accomplice it only named as Baffuor.
