Former boss of the Ghana Athletics Association Sandy Osei – Agyemang, has been named the chairman of an advisory board of the Today's Entrepreneurs Network Ghana (TEN Ghana).
The appointment of Mr. Osei Agyemang who is CEO of SLID Industries took effect from January 1, 2017.
A statement from TEN Ghana signed by its founder Kelvin Atuguba said the accomplished entrepreneur will lead a 7-member advisory board that will be entrusted with oversight responsibility for the vision, strategic direction, advocacy and governance of TEN GHANA. TEN Ghana is Ghana’s only peer-to-peer network exclusively for aspiring entrepreneurs in schools.

The CEO of SLID Industries, makers of Most Valuable Products, Mr. Sandy Osei – Agyemang, has been appointed as the chairman of Today's Entrepreneurs Network Ghana (TEN Ghana) Advisory Board. The 7-member advisory board is entrusted with oversight responsibility for the vision, strategic direction, advocacy and governance of TEN GHANA.
The governing board also oversees partnership engagements, resource mobilisation, financial and programmatic performance and evaluation of the Organization. Mr. Sandy Osei Agyeman’s appointment took effect on January 1st, 2017.

Mr. Sandy Osei- Agyemang has over thirty-eight (38) years of successful experience as a banker, industrialist/entrepreneur, and consultant.
He is currently the C.E.O. of SLID INDUSTRIES, LTD, the manufacturer of MVP range of hair products, one of the leading indigenous health and beauty aids firms in Ghana.
Previously co-founded and co-managed AFAM Concept Inc, manufacturers of leading hair care brands, Vitale and Elentee in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
Also, a former banker having worked with three major banks (Continental Bank, Harris Trust and The French Bank, Credit Lyonnais) all in Chicago, Illinois, USA.
He received Ghana’s Highest National Award ‘Order of the Volta – Member in 2008.
He is also Former Chairman of Ghana Athletics Association, Former Council Member of Confederation of African Athletics (the governing body of African Athletics) and IAAF, the governing body of World Athletics. He is also previously served as a Board Member of Graphic Packaging Limited.
As a former top national athlete, he started competing for Ghana in International Athletics events at the age of eighteen (18) and also a former Olympian having represented Ghana as a Sprinter in the 1972 and 1976 Olympic Games, in Munich, Germany, and Montreal, Canada respectively.
A graduate of Eastern Illinois University with a Bsc. Finance degree; also hold a post graduate degree, Master of Management (MM) in Finance and International Business from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University, among the top ten universities in the USA.
The founder and CEO of Today's Entrepreneurs Network Ghana Mr. Kelvin Peter Atuguba mentioned the difficulty students, young business executives, business start-ups and young entrepreneurs face in assessing information, making the right decisions and linking up with the right contacts/networks which can be vital for the success of a business.
Africa and Ghana in particular with its youthful population coupled with the high unemployment rate needs young people especially those with the desire to set up a business of their own to succeed and help curb the menacing unemployment epidemic.
An organisation like TEN Ghana will benefit largely from the experience Mr. Sandy Osei Agyemang brings on board.
