Former Jonina Ladies and Ghana international Abigail Appiah has begun pre-season training with Israeli Premier League side Hapoel Raanana Women FC.
Appiah sealed the move to Israel after the end of the 2024/25 season, which she helped Jonina finish third on the league table while also guiding them to the Women’s FA Cup final.

The enterprising defensive midfielder is highly rated at her new club after the bosses commended her during her first few days at the club.
Appiah was on the waiting list of the Black Queens squad, who sealed a bronze medal at the just-ended Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) tournament in Morocco.
She was called up for the senior national team during their camping at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence as part of the preparations for the tournament early this year.
At just 21 years old, Appiah has a promising future ahead, having been named the Most Valuable Player on several occasions during the 2024/25 Malta Guinness Women's Premier League season.

Her height in the middle of the park also makes her a good addition to any team, considering aerial duels and breaking down opposition attacks.
Appiah will be looking to leave a great impression on the minds of Hapoel Raanana with the new season not far off.
The Ghanaian is hoping to impress in her first season with the club and hopefully return to the national team fold as soon as possible.
