The Education Minister, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, has extended his best wishes to all the 552,276 candidates writing this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
He urged the students to remain focused during the exams and eschew any act that can compel them to face the laws of the land such as cheating during the exams, going to the exam centres with foreign materials among others.
Again, Dr. Adutwum reminded the candidates to obey all rules and regulations with regard to the exams and hoped that they pass well to make their parents and the nation proud.
This was contained in a press release signed by the Press Secretary to the Ministry, Mr Felix A. Baidoo on Monday.
According to the release, the Education Minster said, “as you write the examination, have in mind that Free Senior High (FSHS) and Free Technical, Vocational Education and Training (TVET) awaits you".
Dr. Adutwum also appealed to all officials involved in the exams to abide by all rules and regulations governing the exams to avoid being caught up by the laws of the land.
The Education Minister assured candidates, parents and all Ghanaians of the government’s preparedness to continue putting in place the right measures to promote the development of education in the country.
