Indeed it is not just an ordinary smartphone. This might be the best of the Galaxy S series, what all smartphone users have been looking out for.
Two weeks ago Samsung unboxed the stunning Galaxy S8 and S8+ after many months of speculations by the media. Many envisaged and had high expectations for the device and truly the device met those expectations.
The new phone is one that opens new worlds. The design is distinctive, the all new Bixby virtual assistant is apt, and the display is - infinite.
Designed to change how you capture and view your life, whether it's in 360 degrees or in virtual reality, the S8 and S8+ are more than just smartphones.
Big screen with infinity display
The revolutionary design of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ begins from the inside out. Every part of the phone's layout breaks through the confines of the smartphone screen. All you see is content, no bezel. It's the biggest, most immersive screen on a Galaxy smartphone, and best of all, it's easy to hold in one hand.
The home button has been embedded under the screen, where it stays hidden until you need it. The aim, an unobstructed view while maintaining a portable form factor.
Once you pick up a galaxy S8 or S8+ you immediately notice how comfortably the phone rests in your palm, allowing you to hold the phone easily. All important shortcuts are also a swipe away, as the edge screen is available on both the Galaxy S8 and S8+. Be it movies or games, you'll get drawn into the action on the Galaxy S8 and S8+ screens. Not only are they the biggest, most immersive displays for mobile devices of these sizes, with the 18.5:9 display ratio, you get the whole scene on your screen.
The bixby WOW
Bixby completely changes the way you interact with your phone. It's a personal assistant that understands talk, text, and taps so you're never confined to one mode of communication. It also completely changes the way you search. You don't even have to ask, just show Bixby what you want by opening your camera app, It's incredibly easy. With Bixby, you can take photos of objects and products to find them or similar items online. Bixby can also translate languages using just a photo.
Iris scanner
The patterns in your irises are unique to you and are virtually impossible to replicate, meaning iris authentication is one of the safest ways to keep your phone locked and the contents private. Hold up your Galaxy S8 or S8+ and align your eyes with the twin circles on-screen to scan your irises. Your phone is unlocked with a look.
Scroll less, do more
Text while you watch a movie or make a list while you browse. You're able to multitask efficiently due to the bigger screen, and you can choose what your focus is by easily resizing the windows. And when just one thing has your attention, you'll see more of the article or your social media feed, so you scroll less.
Invisible but accessible
The new navigation keys are no different from the physical ones you're used to. Only they're now beautifully inconspicuous—until you need them. The home key is where it normally is, and it works just as usual with a simple press.
