Actress Victoria Lebene Mekpah has revealed that her career as an actress would have been bigger if she had succumbed to sex for movie roles.
Lebene, who is also a model, confidently told MzGee on Joy Prime’s Gee Spot that, she has never exchanged her body for a movie role though she has had countless offers.
“I don’t know any actress who hasn’t gone through that,” she said.
The actress acknowledges "sex for jobs" is not limited to showbiz and disclosed that most actresses had to deal with the menace on a daily as it has become the norm.
“I have never ever slept with anyone for the job. It is one thing I am proud about. I have never gone that mile to get where I am now if I did I am sure I would have been much bigger than I am right now,” she said.
“Gone the extra mile, perhaps to Nigeria, to other African countries but because I haven’t [given in], I am keeping my pace, working slow but sure and I know I’ll still get there”.
“I don’t know” she responded when MzGee asked her if her submission was to indicate that her colleagues who were excelling were sleeping around.
