Ghana midfielder Isaac Cofie is still hopeful that he can appear for Ghana at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Black Stars head coach Kwesi Appiah has been on an European tour, visiting some of the Black Stars players at their respective clubs in a bid to monitor their progress and fitness levels.
The 21-year-old, who made his Senior debut for Ghana under the tutelage of coach Appiah, hopes he returns to the Black Stars squad for the Mundial in June.
"I hope to make it back into the (Black Stars) team, Cofie said.
"Coach Kwesi Appiah has given many people the chance and the important thing is that we utilise the chance that he gives us.
"Wearing the national team jersey was a dream. When I wore it and heard the national anthem, it was a great feeling. I felt so happy and proud. I'm working hard to get the chance to play again."
The Genoa-man earned his first cap against Liberia in a friendly in Monrovia on September 2012.
Cofie moved to Italy in 2010 and signed for Genoa where he made his Serie A debut in May.
He was later loaned out to Torino, Piacenza and Sassuolo before signing for Chievo in July last year.
