The Ghana Football Association is protesting last Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Zambia in the 2014 FIFA World cup qualifier in Ndola, adding that they are not happy with the treatment meted out to the team in Zambia. As a result, the GFA is considering taking up issues with CAF, to report disrespectful treatment of Black Stars officials who were made to sit with fans during the game and alleged assaults on Derek Boateng and Benjamin Acheampong by Zambian Police for condemning officiating.“The judgment is there for all of you to make. You saw what happened on the pitch but we want to put on record that we want to view the tapes of what happened after the match and if two of our players Ben Acheampong and Derek Boateng were punched, we will have to take it up to CAF,”the spokesperson of GFA Ibrahim Sannie-Daara said.He added that the officials of the GFA were put in the midst of supporters.
“This is unacceptable in African football. The Zambians were very nice to us until the game."
