The National baseball team, the Shining Stars of Ghana are set to shine in South Africa.
The team will be travelling to Johannesburg, South Africa to compete in the Africa Zone qualifying tournament for the Beijing Olympics .
The Shining Stars together with the team from Nigeria qualified from Africa Zone 3 to represent the Zone in the continental tournament.
An invitation letter from the Continental baseball governing body, the Africa Baseball and Softball Association (ABSA) to the Ghana Baseball and Softball Association (GHABSA) announced the tournament.
The tournament will begin on December 12 ends on December 18, 2007.
There are nine participating teams from Nigeria, Ghana, Tunisia, Mali, South Africa, Lesotho, Uganda, Cameroon and Zimbabwe, representing six zones on the continent.
