Global Media Alliance, organiser of the prestigious Ghana Beverage Awards (GBA), has announced its readiness to receive nominations from beverage industry players and the general public following the unveiling of the Ghana Beverage Awards 2024 in Accra.
The nominations, which seek to provide a platform for beverage producers and the general public to partake in the recognition of excellence in the beverage industry, open from today, 20th January, to 28th February 2025.
Themed “Inspiring Excellence in Ghana’s Beverage Industry,” GBA 2024 will promote both local and foreign beverages as well as the participation of small-scale beverage enterprises.
Poised to evolve the process of recognising excellence in the beverage industry, the Scheme also has introduced 2 new categories, Bar of the Year and Bartender of the Year.
These newly introduced categories reiterate the organiser’s commitment to enhancing excellence along the entire beverage industry value chain.
Commenting on the awards, Emma Wenani, Chief Director at Global Media Alliance, lauded players in the beverage industry for their contribution to the growth of the nation’s economy.
“For many years, our beverage industry has played a significant role in contributing to the overall development of the Ghanaian economy.
"It is thus imperative that we recognise and reward the hard work in the industry through avenues such as the Ghana Beverage Awards.” Ms. Wenani said.
She further encouraged the public and beverage industry players to actively contribute to celebrating excellence in the industry by partaking actively in the nominations.
In the build-up to the awards night, Ms Wenani explained that the Scheme will organize the Bartenders Masterclass and the Beverage Industry Forum to stir up excitement and conversations on the growth of the Ghanaian beverage industry.
The Bartenders Masterclass promises to be an insightful and engaging session retooling already existing bartenders and raising a new generation of bartenders. Similarly, the Forum is tipped to offer an interactive platform for knowledge sharing and industry insights.
