Indigenous mobile phone assembling company, rlg, has been declared the premier company in the country in the 2013 Ghana Club 100 ranking.
The company beat off competition from its equals, including the likes of Goldfields Ghana Limited, Enterprise Life Assurance Company, PBC Limited as well as Kasapreko Company Limited to place first.
The GC 100 rankings is an annual initiative by the Ghana Investment Promotion Council (GIPC) to honour companies that excelled in their various areas of operations in the previous fiscal year.
It was introduced in 1998 and has since become an enviable event that corporate Ghana looks up to on an annual basis.
rlg, which is part of the Agams Group of Companies, placed second in 2012.
The Company which is owned by business mogul, Mr Roland Agambire, assembles computers, desktops, tablets and mobile phones. It also offers hands-on skills training in the respective products.
Goldfields, Enterprise Life Assurance Company Limited (ELAC), PBC Limited placed second, third and fourth respectively.
Former President Jerry John Rawlings and his wife, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, graced the ceremony.
