Black Stars captain John Mensah believes the four-time continental champions have been handed a tough draw for the 2012 Nations Cup finals.Ghana will play Mali, Botswana and Guinea in Group D but fans back home expect head coach Goran Stevanovic and his charges to have dispatch their opponents with ease.
The Lyon defender has diffused that by claiming their Group opponents have the credentials to upset at the tournament.
The 28-year-old believes there is pressure on the team to lift the trophy especially after finishing second at the last edition.“There is pressure on us to deliver after reaching the finals of the last cup of nations in Angola 2010,” Mensah told JOY Sports. The Black Stars are considered huge favourites for the title in absence of defending champions Egypt, Cameroon, Nigeria and South Africa.
