The Ghana beach volleyball team earned a silver medal at the CAVB Zone III Beach Volleyball Championship held in Badagry, Nigeria, securing qualification for the CAVB Africa Beach Volleyball Nations Cup in Morocco.
The continental championship serves as a qualification event on the road to the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
The team delivered outstanding performances throughout the championship, overcoming tough opposition to reach the final and finish as runners-up among the best teams in the West African zone.
While the ultimate prize narrowly slipped away, the campaign was widely regarded as another positive step in the continued growth of Ghana Beach Volleyball.
The qualification continues Ghana’s impressive rise in beach volleyball over recent years, reflecting the federation's commitment to investing in athlete development, technical excellence, and international competitiveness.
As preparations begin for the Africa Beach Volleyball Nations Cup in Morocco, the Ghana Volleyball Federation remains confident that the experience gained in Nigeria will provide the team with a solid platform to compete against Africa’s finest and continue the country’s pursuit of qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
With qualification secured and new lessons learned, Team Ghana now turns its attention to Morocco with renewed determination, confidence, and belief that even greater achievements lie ahead.
