Chairman of the Black Starlets management Committee Fred Crentsil believes they have a good team to win the African Under 17 youth tournament in Morocco.
The Ghana youth side wrapped up a two-week training tour of Italy on Tuesday with a comfortable 6-2 victory over the junior team of Italian side Novara in their final test match.
Coach Paa Kwasi Fabin and his team will depart for their base in Marrakesh on Wednesday from Italy for the tournament which begins on April 13.
"The team has done very well and I’m happy to say we have a very good team, all that we hoping is when we get to Morocco and the game starts we should be in a position to do well," said Fred Crentsil who doubles as the vice president of the Ghana Football Association.
"I believe we had a very successful tour in Italy and it will only show when the competition starts.
"I'm confident in the team and I believe they will do well."
The Black Starlets-who will be chasing a third African title-have drawn Nigeria, Ivory Coast and Congo in Group B.
