Pastor Daniel Dei, Head Pastor of the Mataheko Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA), Church, on Saturday called on Ghanaians to ensure peace and love to move the nation forward.
He asked Christians to avoid sin and discrimination and embrace Christian values.
Pastor Dei was preaching a sermon on the theme: "The Land of the People of Hope," to climax the National Thanksgiving Day Service, in Accra on Sunday.
He asked Ghanaians to seek God with all their hearts and have intimate relationship with Him.
Pastor Dei said despite the economic problems, road accidents, fire disasters and other difficulties that the country was facing, the people had remained united.
Delivering the keynote address at the event, Mr. Theophilus Tetteh Chaie, Member of Parliament (MP) for Ablekuma Central, urged parents to invest in the education of their children to enable them to acquire knowledge and skills needed for national development.
Mr. Chaie appealed to the youth to refrain from unworthy lifestyles and direct their energies into productive ventures.
The MP commended the SDA Church for complementing government efforts at promoting education in the country.
