A-thirteen-year-old girl, who lives with her grandmother at Ayikuma in the Shai Osudoku district, has been raped by three of her school mates, who resides in the same community.

Narrating her ordeal to the Asempa FM's Abrabo Team, the victim said she was sent by her grandmother to fetch water when she met three of her school mates, who asked her to follow them to their school compound but she refused the invitation.

The boys, she recounted, muffled her mouth, bundled her and whisked her through the bushy path leading to the school’s compound.

According to her, two of the boys allegedly raped her but the third, who did not agree to the ignoble act of his two colleagues, abstained.

However, for fear of being attacked by his colleagues, he feigned having sex with the poor girl.

She recalled that they took pictures while having sex with her and when she pleaded with them to stop, they screamed at her and threatened to cause her more pain in the sexual act.

She said the boys, after unleashing their libidos and was satisfied, discharged her to go home.  She said she saw blood oozing from her vagina, while she walked home in pain.

The victim’s grandmother, Madam Maku, in an interview said after realizing the girl had kept long in returning from the riverside, combed the whole area but could not find her.

Later, she said, the little girl came home wailing with blood stains in her dress to narrate her pathetic ordeal.

Madam Maku recalled that when she confronted the boys, the father of one of the alleged rapists almost beat her up.

Meanwhile, Abrabo team contacted the Dodowa Domestic Violence and Victims Supports Unit (DOVVSU), who indicated that the case had been brought to their attention and would process the suspects for court.

Apparently, the case has been on their desk for more than three weeks despite efforts by some opinion leaders to ensure justice is delivered as soon as possible.

The Medical Superintendent in-charge of Maternal Health at Dodowa, Dr. Kennedy Brightson told the Abrabo Team that he examined the thirteen year old girl, and confirmed that the girl was raped.
