The General Secretary of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA), Kofi Yeboah, has donated a freezer, clothing, and sanitary pads to the Accra Rehabilitation Centre (ARC).
During the gesture, he urged Corporate Ghana and individuals to support the facility as well.
He noted that the ARC is a vital national institution that provides vocational training to persons with disabilities (PWDs) to help them earn a living but is currently in urgent need of essential items for their upkeep and training.
Mr. Yeboah explained that his donation was motivated by his awareness of the ARC's challenges, which he learned about during fieldwork at the Centre as part of his Master of Laws (LLM) in Human Rights Law and Practice at the University of Ghana.

The donation also forms part of his humanitarian service initiative, Turntable & Tenable, aimed at supporting the underprivileged in society.
"Today also marked my birthday so I deemed it appropriate to come and celebrate this special day with you. I mobilized these items from friends to come and support you," he explained after making the donation on Wednesday, October 23, 2024.
Mr Yeboah, who is also a Communications lecturer at Wisconsin International University College, Ghana, appealed to institutions and individuals to support the ARC with food items, household effects and personal effects.
The ARC also requires facilities to train PWDs in information and communication technology (ICT) and hairdressing.
Mr. Yeboah noted that addressing these critical needs of the trainees would help them assert their economic rights by improving their chances of securing employment after their training.

The Centre Manager of the ARC, Seth Dzidzornu, commended Mr Yeboah and his friends for their selflessness and kindness.
"After Kofi came to learn at the centre, he promised that he would be back, and today, he is here, not alone but with his friends and gifts. I know that this is just 'touches'; there are bigger and greater ones coming," he said, expressing optimism about continued support for the centre.
The Assistant Centre Manager in charge of Academic Affairs, Ms Nina Okorafor, said: "We want to say that the items you have brought us are a show of love, and with our hearts filled with love, we receive them." "God bless you and continue to bless all that you do. We will use these items to the glory of God
