After a shocking 3-0 defeat in Accra to Hearts of Oak last week, Berekum Chelsea got back to winning ways romping over fellow title contenders Medeama FC 3-0 at the Agyeman Badu Park.
It was a battle for the top of the league log with both sides tied on 46 apiece. But in the end it was Chelsea who proved hungrier for the title taming Medeama in spectacular fashion.
Two goals in the first half and third which came through a penalty in the second meant the Berekum side will return to the top of the league table two points clear of Kumasi Asante Kokoto who were held to a pulsating one all drawn game by Aduana.
Kotoko who were playing home away from home after being banned for crowd violence had Kofi Nti Boakye fight back to draw parity after Aduana had taken an early lead.
In other games, Accra Hearts of Oak were held to a goalless drawn game by Wa All Stars in far away Wa.
Relegated Real Tamale United secured their first point in the second round of the league by holding fellow relegation contenders Berekum Arsenals to a 2-2 game.
Ebusua Dwarfs beat Tema Youth by a goal to nil with Edubiase United recording similar score-line against King Faisal.
Liberty Professionals trounced Kpando Hearts of Lions by 3-1 at the Dansoman Carl Reindorf Park.
Amidaus Professionals also pipped Ashanti Gold by a goal to nil.
