The Government of Ghana has announced with deep regret the untimely passing of Her Excellency Mrs Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, former First Lady and founder of the 31st December Women’s Movement.
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Government Communications, Mrs Rawlings passed away on Thursday, October 23, after a short illness.

The statement, signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, MP, Spokesperson to the President and Minister of Government Communications, extended the government’s deepest condolences to her immediate family.
"Government extends its deepest condolences to her immediate family," the statement said.
