The Information Ministry will kick off a series of regional town hall meetings and exhibitions across all 16 regions of Ghana, starting Tuesday, August 6, 2024, in Accra.
The initiative, themed “Regional Revitalisation: Government’s Commitment to Growth, Development and Prosperity,” aims to ensure inclusiveness, accountability, and participatory governance.
The Ministry says this is in a bid to enhance citizen engagement and foster inclusive governance.
The first event, to be held at the Teachers Hall, will feature updates on developmental projects from Greater Accra Regional Minister Daniel Titus Glover.
Other key speakers include Finance Minister, Dr Mohammed Amin Adam, and Information Minister, Fatimatu Abubakar.
The exhibition centre will showcase various projects and initiatives from all 29 districts within the region.
This effort by the Information Ministry seeks to decentralize government communication and bring governance closer to the people.

The town hall meetings will bring together government officials, youth groups, union representatives, and community leaders to discuss critical governance and economic issues, share ideas, and provide feedback for sustainable development and policy refinement.
Key sectors such as healthcare, infrastructure, and economic empowerment will be focal points, with government officials addressing pressing questions from journalists and the public.
Over the next few weeks, the Ministry will visit the remaining 15 regions to further engage citizens and gather feedback on government projects and policies.
This grassroots approach aims to decentralise government communication and bridge the gap between the government and the people, ensuring everyone contributes to Ghana's growth and prosperity.
The regional town hall meetings will culminate in a national forum, where feedback and recommendations from all regions will be consolidated and presented to the government for implementation.
Information Minister, Fatimatu Abubakar believes that fostering open dialogue and collaboration will strengthen the bond between citizens and the government, ultimately driving progress and development across Ghana.
