Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited (GTBank) has introduced Quick Credit, a revolutionary USSD based product that allows salaried workers instant access to credit facilities on their phones.
The product, accessible via the short code *737*0#, eliminates the need for paper work and enables salaried GTBank customers to borrow up to 100% of their monthly salaries anytime, anywhere without stepping into a banking hall.
Speaking to the new product, Managing Director of GTBank, Mr. Thomas Attah John indicated that Quick Credit was a direct response to customer’s need for quick and easy access to credit facilities.
He said “Quick Credit was developed to meet an urgent need in the market. Customers want access to credit facilities at competitive rates without the hassle of paper work. Being a bank that constantly listens and is committed to enriching lives, we developed this product to give our customers unfettered access to credit on their phones and at the most competitive rate in the market.
“Quick Credit is available to salaried GTBank customers for a 30 day tenor at an unbelievable flat interest rate of 2% for the period. The best part is there are no hidden costs, processing or management fees and customers can pay back anytime within the 30 day period.

Eligible customers of GTBank can access Quick Credit on their mobile phones by simply dialing *737*0# choosing option 1 for PayDay Credit, accepting the Terms and Conditions, and selecting the amount they wish to borrow. Once they input and confirm their personal identification numbers (PIN), the requested amount will be credited to their GTBank accounts instantly.
Quick Credit is set to promote financial inclusion and enhance the lives of customers by making credit easily available when they need it most.
