Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has begun light training with the team in Kumasi, ahead of the crucial world cup qualifier against Zambia Friday.
He had gone through an MRI scan which proved that an injury he picked up during training on Monday is not as serious as initially feared.
FA spokespersons Sannie Daara the Stars captain was made to through light training as a precautionary measure ahead of the titanic clash with Zambia.
Gyan was forced out of training at the Accra Sports stadium Tuesday, after sustaining a thigh injury. This raised fears among fans that the skipper of the team may not be able to play a part in the final group D eliminator. Ghana, currently a point better than Zambia, needs just a draw to progress to the final round of qualifiers.
Myjoyonline's Nathan Gadugah reports that Gyan together with returnee KP Boateng went through light training regime at the Baba Yara stadium to the admiration of fans.
Meanwhile, Minister of Youth and Sports, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah visited the Black Stars camp to urge the players to lift the flag of Ghana high by beating Zambia resoundingly.
Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu is also scheduled to pay a visit to the team later Wednesday.
