The Board of Directors of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club has agreed to the construction of a modern training pitch for the club to be sited on part of its 19.3 hectare plot at Pobiman near Amasaman in the Ga West District of the Grater Accra Region.
The deal is worth 100,000 US dollars and involves pitch works, construction and mechanization of borehole and inner-perimeter fencing among others.
Mr Ashford Tettey-Oku, Administrative Manager of Hearts in a press release said the deal follows initial discussions between the Board Chairman of Hearts, Mr E.M. Commodore-Mensah and Nana Richmond Kojo Aggrey, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Osam Petroleum Ghana Limited.
He said following the discussions Osam Petroleum Ghana Limited agreed to the construction of the modern training pitch for Hearts. Mr Tettey-Oku said for advancing one quarter (25,000 dollars) of the financial assistance for the project, Osam Petroleum Ghana Limited would enjoy naming rights for the pitch area.
Osam Petroleum Ghana Limited would in addition benefit from free publicity in the mouth piece of the club, the Hearts News.
He said the Board at its meeting on Tuesday, commended the initiative of its Chairman and consequently ratified the decision and urged the expeditious conclusion of all documentation to enable Green Grass Technology kick-start the project on time.
