Accra Hearts of Oak have nominated a new set of directors ahead of the club's Annual General Meeting.

Controversial pair of Vincent Sowah-Odotei and Dr. Nyaho Tamakloe have been nominated to retain their positions on the board, while, Professor Agyemang Badu Akosa, a former flagbearer hopeful of the Convention People's Party, joins the new board, pending shareholders approval.

They are joined by Chief Executive of the Telecommunications Chamber Ken Ashigbey.

There was however no place for former director, Braimah Moro Akanbi.

Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Authority Akwasi Agyemang has also been nominated. Having served as a board member of the Division One League and a member of the Fund Raising Committee for Ghana's 2022 World Cup campaign, Akwasi Agyemang is no stranger to football.

Ivy Heward Mills has also been nominated to be retained from the previous board.

Samuel Wilfred Yaw Inkoom, a chartered accountant and a chartered tax practitioner has also been named.

The six will join the club's majority shareholder, Togbui Afede XIV and managing director Delali Anku-Adiamah who were announced as the club's new directors in February.

Hearts are scheduled to hold their Annual General Meeting of shareholders on Thursday, April 4, 2024.
