Heineken, the number one international premium beer brand globally and a partner of the UEFA Champions League, has introduced its 500ml bottle and 500ml can onto the Ghanaian beer market.
The decision by the beer brand, which is distributed locally by breweries giant Guinness Ghana Breweries Ltd. (GGBL), is bound to increase and drive more variety on the beer market front in the country as this innovative move offers beer drinkers a whole new choice in their selection of size and quantity.
Shedding some light on GGBL’s move to introduce the Heineken 500ml onto the market Carsten Schemmer the Marketing Manager for Lagers at GGBL reveals “Heineken seeks to introduce innovation and variety to the Ghanaian beer market and to deliver premium product experience to Ghanaian beer drinkers.”
He further adds that “the new Heineken 500ml bottle offers consumers a larger pack size with a new and refreshing choice thus presenting consumers with a new choice in their selection of their favourite beer brand.”
Some of the distinguishing features of the new Heineken bottle, according to the Marketing Manager include the fact that the new bottle “comes embossed with transparent labels with unique format that reflects the premiumness.” “The 500ml enables us to offer Heineken at a lower price per liter” he further adds.
