Hearts coach Hebert Addo has blamed his players for their defeat on Sunday after Inter Allies pipped his side 2-1.
The win was gifted, he reckons, as Hearts dropped three vital points at the Tema Stadium in the First Capital Plus Premier L.
Ropapa Mensah opened scoring for Inter Allies before Hearts equalized through Isaac Oduro’s free kick.
It looked like the match was heading for a stalemate until Goeckel Ahotor put Inter Allies ahead with a fine shot which goalkeeper Tetteh Luggard couldn’t save.
“Personally I feel very bad not that we lost but the way we lost, if you watched the mach carefully we were playing the Father Christmas today,” he told Joy Sports afterwards.
“Look at the first goal, total confusion between our goalkeeper and central defender they gave in an easy goal.
The results means Hearts have dropped into the relegation zone as they slipped to 14th place on the table.
“It was a fantastic game but at the end Inter Allies were much hungrier and in the end we allowed them to score a goal in the last minute which should never had happened.”
The Phobians were hoping to use the game as preparatory game for their African Confederation Cup second leg tie against Senegalese side Olympique de Ngor but the results could demoralized the team.
