The Domestic Violence and Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU) has cautioned a 55-year old expatriate for allegedly defiling a young girl.
The expatriate who is a manager at an Accra hotel (names withheld), is alleged to have defiled a young girl under his care.
According to the police, the young girl, now 15 years, has since age 8 been defiled repeatedly by the accused.
Irene Oppong, Public Relations Director of DOVVSU says their investigations reveal that the accused also sodomised the young girl on a number of occasions.
The DOVVSU PRO however admitted that the evidence gathered so far is not strong enough to charge him immediately so the case has been referred to the Attorney General’s Department for advice.
