Musician KK Fosu has addressed online criticism regarding his absence at the funeral of blogger John Claude Tamakloe, who passed away after involving in a car accident which included him and highlife singer Bless as they both recovered from their injuries.
Over the weekend, John Claude was laid to rest, and many Ghanaians were shocked to notice that KK Fosu and fellow accident survivor, highlife singer Bless, were nowhere to be found.
This triggered a social media backlash, with many people criticising them for being heartless and not taking the time to support John Claude's family, especially since they were all involved in the same accident that claimed his life.
However, KK Fosu has now come out to defend himself, noting that he did not know John Claude well, as they only met on the trip. He also claimed that John Claude's family did not inform him about the funeral.
In an interview with Adom TV, KK Fosu defended himself, saying he didn’t know John Claude Tamakloe well, as they only met on the trip. He also claimed that John Claude’s family didn’t notify him about the funeral.
"I didn't know the young man well. We only met on the trip. The family also neglected to reach out to me after the accident”, he explained.
He also accused Elorm Beenie of spreading false rumors that he deliberately didn't attend the funeral.
"Desist from tarnishing my image because I'm innocent. I'm concerned about the damage these false reports have caused to my reputation reporting. Let's end the spread of misinformation”, he warned.
