The spokesperson for the Ghana Football Association, Randy Abbey, has revealed that he does not get paid for his job as the spokesperson of the Ghana Football Association.
Mr. Randy Abbey who is also an elected member of both the Executive and Emergency committees of the GFA said he agreed to take charge as spokesperson because there was a void in the communication department and he agreed to pick up that responsibility based on the condition that he is paid.
Mr. Abbey said this in an interview with Ernest Koranteng on Sports Link on Joy FM Saturday.
He went on to dismiss claims that the current FA has not done much to improve domestic football and that the FIFA goal project was not helping Ghana Football.
Reacting to a statement by the CEO of King Faisal, Vincent Odotei, Mr Abbey said Ghana’s achievements of the goal four in the FIFA goal project did not come as a giving, but as a result of hard work.
Asked who he will root for in the next GFA elections, Mr. Abbey said he will always support the current GFA President and that he will always campaign for him because he believes he is the right man for the job.
“We need his leadership to move on so I will always propagate this message to all delegates because I believe he is the right man for the future of Ghana Football” said Randy.
