Head coach of the Black Stars, Milovan Rajevac says he will be the happiest man on earth should he guide Ghana to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Ghana will be playing their last two group games of the World Cup qualifiers in the coming days as they hope to make it to Qatar next year.
Ghana are currently second in Group G after four games played, taking away nine points from a possible 12 available.
The Black Stars trail South Africa by a point going into the last two games and will need to win both games to stand a chance of making it to the next round of the qualifiers.
Ahead of the penultimate game against Ethiopia, Rajevac says it will be an exciting time for him if he manages to lead Ghana to the next edition of the World Cup.
“We really hope to qualify for the World Cup. This is our agenda and every person here, everyone in the football association, technical team and the players are all working towards the same thing,” he said.
“If we qualify for the World Cup, I will be the happiest man on earth. Definitely we will all give our best to make that happen because we cannot predict the future. We are doing everything in our own power to win the next matches. This is our goal and we do our best to make it happen.”
The Serbian led Ghana to their second World Cup in South Africa, where they were knocked out in the quarter-final stage on penalties by Uruguay.
Ghana will be hosted by the Walyas of Ethiopia at the Orlando Stadium in South Africa on Thursday November 11, before hosting Bafana Bafana three days later at the Cape Coast Stadium.
