After a year’s break, BenGift Enterprise has returned with the sixth edition of its Graduation and Fashion Show, dubbed Ignite 2025.
The event, held on Saturday, 6th September at the Capital View Hotel in Koforidua, featured 24 graduating students of the BenGift School of Fashion.
They showcased their final fashion projects on the runway in a night of glitz and glamour.
The students had undergone between six months and two years of training in various fashion disciplines, including female and male dressmaking, design analysis, creative design conceptualisation and innovation.
Chief Executive Officer of BenGift Enterprise, Bernard Okyere Boahen, said the Graduation and Fashion Show was aimed at exposing students to best practices in the fashion industry, equipping them for the competitive market.
“Ignite 2025 is to whip up the fashion industry in the Eastern Region and change the phase of fashion. Fashion is no longer just about sewing. Fashion has evolved,” he stated.
Mr Boahen emphasised his resolve to continually provide fashion training, particularly for the less privileged, to help them fulfil their God-given purpose. He also appealed to government for financial support and machinery, while calling for private partnerships to sustain the initiative.
The best graduating students received industrial steam irons, sponsored by Psalmist Couture.
The event attracted fashion designers and enthusiasts from Koforidua and across the Eastern Region.
