The Member of Parliament for Tano North, Dr Gideon Boako, has expressed gratitude to God for what he describes as the opportunity to spearhead the reconstruction of the Yamfo Market, pledging to deliver a modern trading facility for the people of the constituency.
He made the remarks during a courtesy call on the Chiefs and Elders at the Yamfo Palace and engagements with market women.
Addressing traditional authorities and traders, Dr Boako said the initiative forms part of his broader commitment to improving livelihoods and infrastructure within the constituency.
“I am glad God is using me to get Yamfo a befitting market,” he stated, adding that the project is both a personal and public responsibility he does not take lightly.
He explained that the proposed reconstruction will transform the existing market into a modern, safe, and well-organised space that enhances business operations and improves sanitation.
According to him, traders in Yamfo deserve an environment that reflects their contribution to the local economy.
Dr Boako indicated that work on the project is expected to commence soon, following consultations with key stakeholders.
He expressed appreciation to the Chiefs and Elders for their support and blessings, noting that development initiatives thrive when there is unity and shared purpose.
Reaffirming his development agenda for Tano North, the MP said he remains committed to accelerating progress across communities in the constituency.
He pledged to continue working diligently to deliver impactful projects that improve living standards and strengthen economic activity in the area.
