Chief Executive of Internet Service Provider, Busy, Praveen Sadalage has urged businesses to take more interest in acquiring the requisite information about their tax obligations.
Per the new tax law, a number of businesses and activities which prior to the review were exempted from taxation have now been included while others that already attracted taxes will see some increases.
Both individuals and companies will be affected by the new law which has engendered complaints from a majority of Ghanaians.
“With our reliable 4G data connection, businesses can access up-to-date information on Ghana’s tax laws, get online training for their employees and promote businesses”, Sadalage said.
Mr. Sadalage indicated that “if through Busy 4G, organizations can promote their businesses and the economy stand to gain, then our job would have been done”.
Busy, which was adjudged 4G LTE Provider and IT Team of the Year at this year’s GITTA Awards, was the official 4G data sponsor for the 3rd edition of the Graphic Breakfast Meeting held at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra.
The breakfast meeting gave the business community the opportunity to exchange ideas on the prospects of the economy. The topic discussed was “New Tax Law; Implications for the economy and businesses”.
The Finance Minister, Seth Terkper and Tax Consultant Abdulai Nachia presented papers on the topic for discussion.
