The Interior Ministry has cautioned applicants in the ongoing recruitment process to be wary of fraudulent SMS messages requesting payment for medical screening.
In a statement issued on Monday, March 23, the Ministry clarified that it has not yet sent out any notifications regarding the next phase of the exercise, urging applicants to ignore messages from unauthorised sources.
According to the Ministry, official SMS notifications will only be dispatched between March 29 and March 31, 2026. Medical screening is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at designated centres nationwide.
Applicants have been advised to remain alert and carefully verify all communications. The Ministry stressed that legitimate messages will only come from the authorised sender ID, CSERP.
It further explained that shortlisted candidates will see their status updated from “Qualified” to “MEDICAL SCREENING” on the recruitment portal once official notifications are issued. Only after confirming this update should applicants proceed with any payments through the portal’s secure web checkout system.
The Ministry emphasised that no applicant will be asked to transfer money to any mobile money number, warning that such requests are fraudulent.
Candidates have also been encouraged to report any suspicious messages to the official email address provided by the Ministry, as efforts are intensified to curb recruitment-related scams and protect applicants.
