Edin Dzeko scored twice in Bosnia-Herzegovina's 2-1 victory over Ivory Coast on Friday night, giving the country's raucous fans plenty to cheer about in the run-up to their first World Cup appearance.
Bosnia played their second game in six months in St Louis, where it's estimated more than 30,000 Bosnians relocated from the former war-torn Yugoslavia.
Fans concentrated behind the goal defended by Bosnia in the first half did their best to make up for the low numbers, chanting and singing songs to an incessant drum beat.
Dzeko, who scored 10 of his country's 30 goals in World Cup qualifying, was again Bosnia's most dangerous threat on Friday evening.
The Manchester City forward was given the simple task of finishing into an empty goal after 17 minutes when an Ivory Coast defender blocked a shot by Zvjezdan Misimovic.
Dzeko grabbed his second goal of the night eight minutes into the second half when he converted Miralem Pjanic's pass into the bottom corner.
Former Chelsea star Didier Drogba, who came on as a second half substitute, scored a free-kick in the 91st minute but The Elephants couldn't mount a late comeback.
