After many years of serving God with her gift of singing, JessiEmma has released her debut single titled ‘Amazing Grace.’
The song was released on Friday, February 24, 2023 on all digital platforms.
Speaking to Kwame Dadzie on Joy FM’s ‘Showbiz A-Z’ on Saturday, March 18, 2023, JessiEmma said she started singing and worshipping at church at a tender age.
“My parents are both worship leaders so coming out I’ve always just been around music. I had to attend all the church services from 6am till God knows when so always the first to arrive and the last to leave every Sunday,” she said.
“I started writing songs myself when I was 8 years old and over the years I’ve just been adding on based on my journey, my walk with Christ, based on my life experiences and so on and so forth,” she further noted.
Describing ‘Amazing Grace’ as “a love song to God”, she also talked about how her uncle and vocal coach helped her to put it together.
“The song was written at a time when I was feeling a lot of love from God and in that moment I put the song together with my uncle, the words were flowing and he was just following with the piano and then we were done writing the song,” JessiEmma indicated.
She added that she then took it to the studio and with the help of her vocal coach she had the final product and subsequently the video.
‘Amazing Grace’ was produced by Michael Oil, a music producer based in the United Kingdom.
