The Joana Gyan Cudjoe Teacher Initiative has delivered targeted support to 39 basic schools in the Amenfi Central District, benefiting 8,829 pupils and 137 teachers.
Led by the Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Joana Gyan Cudjoe, the initiative provides monthly financial assistance to schools across the district to support teaching and learning.
The programme currently injects GH¢84,240 into the schools every month, amounting to GH¢589,680 over seven months.
Beneficiary schools include Agyedum D/A, Obing Methodist Primary, Chichiso No.2 and several others across the district.
Each school received between GH¢8,400 and GH¢22,400 over the seven months, based on teacher numbers and student enrolment.
The initiative is designed to strengthen education delivery and provide direct support to teachers, acknowledging their central role in shaping the future of the district’s children.
Joana Gyan Cudjoe’s intervention is expected to make a lasting difference in the Amenfi Central education landscape, easing challenges faced by schools while reinforcing the importance of investing in teachers and learning outcomes.
