President Goodluck Jonathan has nominated Justice
Aloma Mukthar as the first female Chief Justice of
Nigeria, (CJN)Her nomination was contained in a letter sent to the
Senate by the president.If approved by the senate, Justice Mukthar will
replace Chief Justice Dahiru Musdapher who is due
for retirement.President Jonathan also nominated Justice Musa
Mohammed and Justice Clara Ogunbiyi to serve as
Justices of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
