The Nhyiaeso MP, Dr. Stephen Amoah, has constructed a 33-unit classroom block to augment teaching and learning at the State Experimental School in Kumasi.
This is in response to a Joy News feature story aired two years ago, which highlighted the dilapidated school facilities.

Dr Stephen Amoah indicated, "The story which focused on the challenges in the school, I was mentioned in the story, and it did put pressure on us."
"One of my primary objectives was to modernise the basic schools in Nhyiaeso, so when the story came, I decided to prioritise this school, and a special thanks goes to the GETFUND," he added.
A Joy News feature by Erastus Asare Donkor in February 2022, exposed the danger of an old building housing the primary school, which had its pillars falling apart.

As a temporary measure, the Member of Parliament, Dr. Stephen Amoah, intervened to fund the renovation of the existing infrastructure to ensure the safety of students.
State Experimental Basic Schools, sited in the Ridge Residential Area in Kumasi, is among the prestigious public basic schools in the Ashanti Region.
Established in the 1950s, the school has educated many notable personalities in the country.

The 33-classroom unit project was also initiated by the MP to bring lasting relief to the school.
According to Dr. Amoah, the new facility could compete with any private school facility in the Ashanti Region.
Managers of the school have expressed gratitude to the MP's office for the initiative.

Headmistress Joana Anokyewaa committed to the maintenance of the facility, but expressed worry over encroachment of the school's land by private developers.
Meanwhile, the MP has indicated a commitment to promote education within the constituency, pointing to similar projects in other schools.

"Within four years, we have provided over 2400 desks for schools, and all the Senior High Schools have been provided with computers. We have done over seven hundred local scholarships," he added.
