Senior Presidential Aide and Senior Presidential Advisor to President John Dramani Mahama, Joyce Bawah Mogtari, has joined many Ghanaians in paying tribute to the late former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings.
In a heartfelt message, she described the late stateswoman as a pioneering figure whose lifelong dedication to the advancement of women and children has left an indelible mark on Ghana’s social and political landscape.
“The people of Ghana are paying tribute to the iconic former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, a pioneering figure whose unwavering commitment to women’s and children’s rights has had a lasting impact,” Mrs Mogtari wrote, reflecting the deep respect and admiration that Ghanaians continue to express for the late leader.

She further highlighted Nana Konadu’s enduring sense of style and identity, noting that her iconic turbans and elegant African prints were more than a fashion statement — they were symbols of cultural pride.
“Her distinctive style, which featured iconic turbans and elegant African prints, was a reflection of her pride in her heritage. Her achievements, elegance, and courage will be remembered,” she added.
Concluding her tribute, Mrs Mogtari described the former First Lady as “an exceptional woman whose extraordinary life will be celebrated,” before bidding her a final farewell with the touching words, “Farewell, My Lady.”
Her message adds to the chorus of tributes from leaders and citizens alike honouring Nana Konadu’s trailblazing legacy and immense contribution to Ghana’s democratic and social development.
